Zoe's Yin classes are based on the Yin yoga asanas. Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time. Yin originated from China and is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, working with the meridians and organs in the body.

 

Yin poses specifically helps to release the fascia in the body, which is our living matrix of connective tissue  and touches every cell in our body. As we age, our fascia stiffens around our joints (a bit like shrink wrap) and we become less mobile and fluid, resulting in a reduction in chi flow which directly contributes to ill-health. Neuroscientists hypothesize fascia carries consciousness. 

Zoe works in a supportive capacity and fuses her Yin with her psychology expertise.

 

Zoe's Yin classes are soothing, restorative and healing. They are great for helping to address gut issues, chronic health conditions, anxiety, stress, depression and other health/mental health issues.
